Frequently Asked Questions

What happens during a session?

You bring your specific problem. We solve it. No generic advice, no worksheets, no theory lectures. If your plot has a hole, we find where it broke and fix it. If your character feels flat, we dig into the psychology until they breathe. If AI tools are giving you generic output, we figure out why and adjust your approach. You leave with actionable solutions, not homework.

How should I prepare for a session?

Send me relevant material before we meet. The chapter that’s not working. The outline that fell apart. The dialogue that sounds wrong. I’ll review it beforehand so we can dive straight into solutions instead of spending your paid time getting me up to speed.

What kinds of problems can you help with?

Plot and structure issues. Flat characters. Dialogue that doesn’t sound like real people. Pacing problems. Revision paralysis. AI integration without losing your voice. Publishing strategy. Query letters and book proposals. Genre-specific challenges. Neurodivergent writing strategies. If it’s keeping you stuck, bring it.

Do you work with new writers or just experienced ones?

Both. New writers often have fundamental craft questions that benefit from direct answers instead of vague encouragement. Experienced writers usually have specific problems in specific manuscripts that need fresh eyes. The approach differs, but the goal is the same: solve the problem, get you writing again.

Can you help with nonfiction or just fiction?

Both. My ghostwriting background includes business books, memoirs, and thought leadership content. My own library covers fiction craft. Structure, clarity, and reader engagement matter regardless of genre.

What if I need more than one session?

Book as many as you need. Some writers come once to solve a specific problem. Others work with me through an entire manuscript. There’s no package requirement and no pressure to commit beyond what helps you.
